Welcome to Sydney!
Sydney is the not only the oldest but is the largest city in Australia and is one of the world's most vibrant and famous cities. It's famed for the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.Check into your accommodation in the heart of the city and we will meet you at the Welcome Dinner. This will give you an opportunity to get to know your fellow riders on the tour. We will also go over the tour details including a review of the itinerary and safe group riding practices.
Day 1 – Sydney to Tea Gardens – 242 km (150 miles)
Today is our first ride day. We will meet you in the lobby of the hotel and load your luggage in the support vehicle. You will then board the shuttle to the bike hire office. Once everyone has completed their paperwork it's time to hit the road.We start our trip with a ride north along a favourite motorcycling road, the Old Pacific Highway before making our way to the coastline where we stop for lunch overlooking the gorgeous Pacific Ocean.Continuing on we will arrive in a little slice of paradise situated on the picturesque Myall River for our first overnight stay.
Day 2 – Tea Gardens to Dorrigo – 363 km (226 miles)
Our first stop this morning is only an hour up the road to The National Motorcycle Museum. Here you will see Australia’s largest collection of vintage, veteran, and classic motorcycles. Wander through the building where around 800 motorcycles are on display, almost every make of motorcycle is represented here.The lunch stop today is at one of the North Coast’s famous pie shops, home of the crocodile pie and over 25 other filling types available.We conclude the day by riding the eastern end of Waterfall Way up into Dorrigo Mountain and the gateway to the World Heritage-listed Dorrigo National Park.
Day 3 – Dorrigo to Scone – 373 km (232 miles)
We continue along Waterfall Way with several stops along the way. First up is Ebor Falls where, from a cantilevered viewing platform out over the valley, you can get a spectacular view of the Guy Fawkes River plunge 100 metres (328 feet) over the two-tiered waterfall.Further along Waterfall Way we will stop at Wollomombi Falls, the highest waterfall in New South Wales, After heavy rain the waterfall cascades 220 metres (722 feet) over the dramatic cliffs to the floor of the Wollomombi Gorge below.After our lunch stop we will continue to another motorcycle museum where you can see a 1924 Harley-Davidson postie bike, along with other immaculately restored motorcycles and some limited edition current models. We will also drop in and visit the local Harley dealer for those of you that want to get some retail therapy in.We then make our way into Scone, known as 'The Horse Capital of Australia' and claimed to be the second-largest horse breeding area in the world, after Kentucky in the United States.
Day 4 – Scone to Sydney – 302 km (188 miles)
Our last day on the road takes us down one of our favourite motorcycling roads, the Putty Road, which features not only long scenic straights but also every type of corner, from switchbacks to sweeping bends and everything in between.Our final stop for the day is at a wildlife park on the outskirts of Sydney where you will have a chance to meet some of Australia's native animals, including koalas, kangaroos, dingos, and the kookaburra. We then make our way to Sydney where we will drop the bikes off and we will shuttle you back to the hotel in Sydney. The last activity of the tour is the Farewell Dinner where we can re-live our trip and exchange details with the new friends that we have just shared the road with for the last 4 days.
